Alexandros Stefanakis as a Visiting Professor in Poland
Assistant Professor Alexandros Stefanakis was Visiting Professor in Poland between June 2-8, invited by the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and the Mayor of the city of Lublin, within the framework of the Program "Visiting Professors in Lublin ".
He was invited as an expert in the field of sustainable and decentralized wastewater management, with the aim of strengthening international research cooperation and supporting the educational work of both the University and the City of Lublin.
During his stay in Poland, Prof Stefanakis had the opportunity to give lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates and the teaching and research staff of the University, while he also held an open lecture for the public and the residents of the city of Lublin, as well as interviews with the local media.
At the same time, he had a series of contacts and discussions with the Rectoral authorities of the institution and the Mayor of the city, as well as with professors and researchers and discussed the possibilities for further research and teaching collaboration between the University of Lublin and the Technical University of Crete.
In addition, in his capacity as the President of the International Society of Ecological Engineering, he also met with the President of the Polish Association of Ecological Engineering whereas they discussed strengthening relations and closer cooperation between the two organizations.
