Emeritus Professor Evan Diamadopoulos
E. Diamadopoulos is a Chemical Engineer diploma holder of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while he received his PhD from the McMaster University in Canada. Since December 1, 2017 he serves as the elected Rector of the Technical University of Crete. He works on water and wastewater treatment and the recovery of useful materials from waste and by-products. He has been the scientific coordinator of more 40 research projects funded by the European Union, the Greek Ministry of Education, the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of Greece, the Local and Regional Governments in Greece and private bodies.
Assistant Professor Alexandros Stefanakis
Dr A. Stefanakis is a member of the Laboratory since December 2019. He is an Environmental Engineer diploma holder of the Democritus University of Thrace, with a MSc degree from the Department of Civil Engineering and PhD from the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece. He specializes in water and wastewater management focusing on ecological engineering and technology and the design and optimization of Constructed Wetlands in the circular economy context. He has participated in various national and international research projects, while he has designed and built several Constructed Wetland facilities for wastewater treatment around the world.
