A new study of Assistant Professor Alexandros Stefanakis was published in the scientific journal Chemosphere.

The study has the title "A pilot system integrating a settling technique and a horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland for the treatment of polluted lake water" and has to do with a novel settling unit combined with horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetlands. This pilot system was studied as a nature-based solution for the remediation of the polluted water of lake Marriot in Alexandria, Egypt.
