The Assistant Professor of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering visited the European Parliament, as a member of the first mission of European Climate Pact Ambassadors.
The mission in Brussels had meetings and discussions with heads of European institutions and directorates for the environment and climate change, such as Manuela Gervasi (Deputh Director & Senior Policy Officer for Sustainable Development and Public Participation, European Environmental Bureau), Paolo Caridi (Head of Unit - Communication and Civil Society, DG Climate Action) and Kasia Balucka-Bebska (European Climate Pact Lead, DG Climate Action).
The discussion focused on three thematic categories of particular interest to the European Commission:
- EU Mission "Climate-neutral and smart cities"
- Nature-based learning
- Τhe Future of European Climate Pact
The meetings took place in the "Manolis Glezos" room of the European Parliament.
